More Useful Stone

Which stone is more useful either the Lord or Atronach for a destruction mage using some enchantment but not unlimited mana? I find myself using the highborn ability in difficult fights and some mana potions but otherwise mana reserves have not been an issue although in future levels I might devote a few level ups to health instead of Mana. Which Stone would you perfer in this situation basically is the magic absorption of the atronach better than the additional physical resistance of the lord stone?

Or would another stone work just as well?

Considering how magicka regeneration is near worthless in combat probably atronach stone. But depends on what you're more irked by; pesky mages one-hitting you with lightning or bandit chiefs cracking your skull open.

Atronach Stone because as a mage you don't focus on taking physical damage but avoiding it. Mana regen is worthless and Absorb is really good since a lot of rogue mages use shock damage.

I've always used the Lord Stone and voted Lord Stone. The deal breaker that would get me to change though is whether or not the Atronach Stone reduces damage taken by dragon breath. If it doesn't, I'd rather stick with Lord Stone, since it stacks with other sources of magic resistance very well.

Wow, 50/50 split. I have been using Lord, but I am willing to try Atronach and have been thinking about it for a while. I do have 3x mage armor ebonyflesh and the Dragonhide (which is usefull when I have enough magicka to dual cast to get the effect for almost 2 minutes - I have to swap out enchants to have the right setup). Mickers point is what has been making me think more about Atronach.

edit: lvl 51 mage, and I never wear armor

It does not reduce the damage from dragons.
