Morrowind Reference

Post » Thu May 17, 2012 4:12 am

It's been a long time since I played Morrowind, but doesn't the Dark Elf in the boat at the start of that game- the one who tells you that "not even last night's storm could wake you"- also tell you that you "shouldn't keep the guards waitng"? That's exactly what the guy who's in the cart with you at the start of Skyrim tells you when you're on your way to your execution. Did anyone else spot this Morrowind reference? I thought that it was a really great touch.

Have you done the quest for

Hermaeus Mora?
There's a nice Morrowind reference there.

Completely missed it. I love Jiub references though!

I thought that the early Morrowind reference was fitting, as this game definitely has some of that old-school Morrowind feeling.

My thoughts exactly even from the first moments of exploration.

Ralof says "shouldn't keep the gods waiting for us" not guards.

That makes sense. It sounded almost exactly like the guy at the start of Morrowind when I heard it!

Jiub says "You'd better do what they say..."
I started that game over too many times.

I love hearing some of Morrowind's music, some of my favorite pieces to hear swell up in the background.

I found the last living Telvanni.

His tale is quite a tragic one.
