So, I know how many of us are werewolves. And this bug I am about to talk about could be the most annoying one for us.

This bug does not allow us to perform the "Totems Of Hircine" quest.

This is said to be caused by multiple things. These things include having Aela the Huntress as a follower, completing the dawnguard questline (dawnguard or vampire) up to the point where Serana follows you around(this is easily fixed by completing said questline), and having the glemroil witch heads in your inventory/storage. But of all of these things none of them have any substantial evidence to prove these cause this problem. what does cause this is "MARRYING AELA THE HUNTRESS". this has been brought up all over the internet and is indeed the real problem to this bug.

Now i dont know why, some say the console marks it as though the quest has started but doesn't show any signs of it being activated, but what i do know is that any solution you find anywhere will either not work or only be able to be done on the PC via console commands.

One of these is to divorce Aela. There are a few problems with this.
1. there is only one way to divorce someone without console commands
2. this solution is just straight up killing your wife
3. you cannot kill Aela the huntress because she is an essential character.
With that being said, divorce is not an option.

Another solution out there is to simply go back to a save before you married her. this is a big problem because most people will have already done a lot of things since then.

Next i am going to say why this glitch is INCREDIBLY annoying.
1. you cannot improve your werewolf with new powers via totems
2. in the dawnguard DLC you get a werewolf skill tree with special perks for each totem; this bug makes it useless to get these perks.
3. the way the radiant quests are chosen make it really hard to tell if it truly is a glitch.
4. There is almost no way to fix this problem if you are on a console version of the game(360/PS3)
5. Bethesda is not doing anything about it. I have seen posts about this glitch from up to patch 1.2 and it is still here.

So what I am doing with this post is 3 things
1. trying to get Bethesda's attention so they can fix this problem.
2. informing people of any possible solution which i have listed above

and for the third i am giving some suggestions on how to help with this. people may or may not like these suggestions.
1. add console commands to console versions( I know its a lot of work but it is a solution)
2. make an option to divorce your spouse in a later patch
3. change the way the radiant quests are chosen. for example, for Aela you could do 3 "Animal Extermination" quests then have a "Totems of Hircine" quest. This will make it much easier to navigate through the radiant quests and also to know if there really is a glitch or it is just taking a long time to get the right quest.(note this should be done after the bug is patched so that you can still access the quest)
