most beautiful place in skyrim?

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 10:44 pm

What's your favorite/best looking place in Skyrim? I'm talking about natural outdoorsy places, and caves. So far mine are: Mara's eye pond, lost knife cave, and half-moon bay. I have to say that Half Moon bay was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in a game before ;^;

So what's your favorite Skyrim outdoorsy place?

I can't remember the name but the pass NW? of Whiterun. Go through that and on to the other side of the mountain and the view from up there is great.

The what now? Only place named like that is the Half-Moon Mill near Falkreath.

Anyway, my vote goes for Lost Valley and Arcwind Point. Those are some awe-inspiring ruins :ooo:

The small creek just outside of Falkreath is great.

The waterfall and Bridge that hosts the chest for "Treasure Map 9" is really good too. I can't remember the name.

I love the place north of Ivastead i believe...where you climb the step to grey beards...north of that small village there is a huge tree fallen, forming a natural bridge over a river..its a great view from there...behind you a big waterfall is going down.Great place!...but there are many beautiful places in Skyrim

Not necessarily the most beautiful but two I like a lot are:

- Bloated Man's Grotto
- Lost Valley Redoubt

Also Solitude and Falkreath and their surrounding areas.

I would have to say either Blackreach or on top of one of the mountains in the Reach on a clear night with Aurora's.

I liked Blackreach it is definitely beautiful but the "A Return To Your Roots" quest spoiled the place for me. There is one quest I'll never do again.

Eldergleam Sanctuary and that cave north of the Thalmor Embassy.

The road down from Ivarstead, following the river.

Eldergleam Sanctuary and Blackreach are the two places that stand out off the top of my head. In terms of cities, Markarth is certainly a beautiful place, and approaching Solitude for the first time and seeing the city stretching out over the arch is also pretty impressive. Whiterun is another pretty beautiful city, as well, considering how it stands out on the plains.

I agree - Eldergleam Sanctuary. I also like the south shore of the lake just west of the Guardian Stones and looking out from Autumnwatch Tower in the Rift.

As other people have said, Blackreach, Eldergleam Sanctuary and Bloated Man's Grotto are all stunning. Shadowgreen Cavern's also a beautiful spot.
