This thread is kind of a off-shoot of the thread above, whats the most depressing thing you've seen in video games?

I find Halo reach extremely depressing, watching all of your comrades being killed off one by one, watching all the civilians you tried to protect being massacred infront of your eyes, and the ending cinematic...

I find that silent hill 2 has some depressing moments...especially after you find out you are the one that killed your wife.

The fact that Star Wars Battlefront 3 will never happen . . .

I can't think of any plot moments currently, but methinks either every post or the OP of this thread will be requiring a warning of the spoilers sure to be contained within.
