Even if it won't be the race of your main/only char, what race do you think deserves the most respect/fear?

This is just another what's your favourite race thread, I think the better question would be what race people respect besides their own, or least hated race. A race everyone sort of likes/respects but isn't necessarily the most popular in terms of being chosen as the pc.

erm, that's exactly what the OP did ask.

For me, it has to be my Redguard bros. anyone naturally proficient at magic can learn to control it, but the amount of training it takes to reach that level of dexterity and martial discipline would take some serious dedication.

Well he seemed to allude that it COULD be a race other than your favourite, but knowing people here most will opt to choose their favourite.

Anyway, I haven't come across too many people who don't respect bretons somewhat? And yeah redguards too.

Power =/= respect. Matter of fact, they're fairly antithetical.

Orsimer. Strength through adversity.

Their way of life is more honorable than the "honor"-loving Nords.

This is the right one. The one that consistently conquered and brought long lasting periods of peace to all of Tamriel.

However, one could argue that stop-gapping a Dam can have bad results. See the Fourth Era. The Thalmor coming to power are a direct result of the Septim Empire.

But yeah, you gotta respect the guys that tossed off the chains of slavery and kicked everyone else's ass several times. Well except the Dunmer. They kind of failed at that, for the most part.

On the other hand the Aldmer...hmmmm....

The Ehlnofey deserve the most respect. That is the answer. Not the Old or New Ehlnofey. Just, the Ehlnofey.

Should break the poll in to 2 choices as feared and respected are not the same.

For me I respect the nords the most and fear the Altmer the most.
