The Imperials ending is no happier. Perhaps the designers' idea was that you're supposed to feel bad no matter what side you choose. I haven't done the Stormcloaks questline, but even though my character's heart is with the Imperials, some of the things that come with the victory make you feel like a real bastard. Mostly having to turn your back on and practically betray Jarl Leila.
Maybe he's afraid he'll end up a permanent Imperial supporter if he sees things from the otherside.
Not even a little bit. I have strong beliefs and convictions that I can't RP past. No empire has ever been founded or maintained for the benefit of it's subjects.
Hehehehehehe he doesn't know that he is actually not loyal to Ulfric at all.
Oh, I'm not upset or anything - I just don't know what you meant by "he doesn't know that he is actually not loyal to Ulfric at all". I've only got 2 characters: one (Warrior Dude) finished the CW for the Stormcloaks and the other (Assassin Chick) hasn't started it. I may never do it on my 2nd one because I don't care for the way the cities get messed up and never repaired. Also, it's kinda' boring when the guards don't wear their regional armor.
Stormcloak ending is very sad Anyone else find that these three friends killing each other regardless of which side you chose is tragic?.
Yes, very sad. I like http://yorecross.deviantart.com/art/Divided-283466974 depicting Ulfric and Rikke's (broken) friendship. I got the sense at Season Unending that she blames Galmar for it.

If only there was some way to get Ulfric to change his mind. Mods, fix this!
