Mounted Combat Issues

Post » Tue Aug 07, 2012 3:00 am

I have just gotten back into playing Skyrim and decided to trim down my MOD list. Before the trim mounted combat worked just great for me. After the trim it does not work. I am wondering if there is a way I can reinstall the patch from steam?

So far I have clicked verify the interigty of the files but that did not help.

Thank you for any help.

Please actually describe the issue. Just saying it doesn't work says absolutely nothing. Also, please ensure you're using the latest version of the game. The latest version is 1.7.x.

Uninstall all remaining mods and other third-party add-ons. Do not simply disable them. All their associated files need to be gone from the game's directories. Then start a new game. If things work, then you'll likely get better help here: http://www.gamesas.com/forum/183-skyrim-mods/

Before I unistalled a few of the mods the mounted combat worked. (I.E I was able to attack from my horse). After I uninstalled a few mods it did not work (I.E I was not able to draw my sword and was unable to attack from my horse).

Please when responding offer help to the problem I ask for (can I reinstall the patch) vs telling me first to wipe everything off and then try fresh and see if it fixes things. That may a route in the future, however before I wipe everything I am going to actually try the easier solution and see if it works.

Off the top of my head I would say I do not need to delete every mod from my game after all ALL the mods which are loaded now worked with the mounted combat patch.

Look, you need to track down the issue. You cannot do that without wiping out all the mods. You don't have a clue what you need to remove without seeing if it works when you try the vanilla game. I linked to the board for mods. Mod issues go there. This board is for issues with the base game. You cannot figure out where the problem lies without performing basic troubleshooting steps, which you have obviously not done.
