Mouse and Keybinds

I have been looking online to see how ESO will play, and one of the things I found was that you plan to use controls as if this was a shooter game. As a veteran of both MMOs (played on the computer since EQ) and RPGs (played on gaming consouls since FF1) I am unaccustomed to how you wish this game to be played. My concern is that I really don't like the feel of the game as it is. Both ESO and Neverwinter Nights have gone to this shooter platform that always felt forgein, and disconnected.

So, What I want to know is this, is there going to be a way customize the controls to play the game how I want to play it, or am I stuck using what someone else thinks is best?

You mean can you change it to "traditional" WoW type of combat where you just lock onto a target and then spam buttons?
No, you can't.

but action combat is awesome you know.. there will be also little targeting help, they called it softlocking or something. so even if you svck at aiming you'll do fine.

No, I said nothing about locking on targets, or spamming buttons. What I am referring to is the option of changing keybinds. is there going to, or plans to have a feature that allows me to play with the buttons I want to use.

I know you cant, but this is beta. The full game has not been launched yet.

I hope options are added for personal button configurations.

There are probably gonna be options to customize the controll as you like. For example if you have a razer naga mouse, you could set 1 and 2 buttons to be hit and block. and clicks to do something else. (That's what I'm guessing I aint sure). Also there are 6 abilities, normally bound on 1-6. You will probably be able to set them to any keyboard button you like. Hell I could do that even on Oblivion...

If I understand corrently yes you will be able to configure button 6 to R for example. In key configs. You can have magelight when you press Q and fireball when you press G, or so.
