Mouse Scroll Wheel Not Working

Post » Sat May 26, 2012 9:19 am

Hey all,

As the Topic Title says, my mouse wheel is not working in-game - ie. it seems to not be detected by Skyrim at all...
I am using a Razer Abyssus mouse with the latest drivers from Razer & have not had issues with any other games.

Anyone else experienced something like this? Any suggestions on how to fix it?

My searches haven't returned any solutions specific to this mouse, or Skyrim, but I did read that in another case the scroll wheel was being detected by the game as a different button, or something along those lines...
The solution proposed was to stop using the custom driver/software from the mouse company, but to revert to the microsoft intellipoint one (or something like that, I may be getting confused), but I couldn't figure out how I could do this :/

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Go to your control panel and then add/remove programs (or uninstall program on newer OSen). Find anything with Razer and uninstall it. When you reboot (or possibly before) you will now be using the default microsoft mouse driver. This might make sensitivity feel a bit weird if you don't have on-mouse controls to adjust it without the software.

Ah! Thankyou very much! This has worked perfectly! :)
