Move Over, Ada!

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2016 1:38 pm

I have not progressed far into the DLC yet, but in the second firefight, Ada kept getting right between me and my robot targets. And you know they all look alike so she took some beating from me.

Anyone else have this annoyance?

That was on my sniper character. My melee character had different problems (exposure to multiple attacks), but those I could deal with on my own.

Yup. I got tired of it so I downed her myself. Now I just use her as bait for grenades

Hey, I'm no racist, I don't care what color she is!! 3:)

In the heat of battle, or when I am out of AP I just blaze away so VATS is not always a solution. But I did give her Mr Handy jets just before I had to leave for work so maybe that will help.

I had a similar problem at first because she has the outline of an Assaultron, so I fitted her with a Mr Handy's lower half. So she stands out as being the only floating humanoid robot in the heat of battle. In general I find she rushes in way too much, so on occasion she just flies in between me and the enemy as I'm shooting.

its not difficult to tell the difference between ada and the mechanist bots, or any others really. she's an off color blue that no one else is. and the mechanist bots are mostly painted bright yellow with the exception of a few. She doesn't get in the way any more than any other companion would.

I haven't played much of the DLC, but Ada has been pretty useless so far. Maybe because I haven't fitted her with the right weapons, but she usually just stands around in the open and is much less useful than any other companion I've ever had.

I gave her some nice Robobrain treads, an assaultron laser, and an explosive minigun. She stands out.

I just stay back and hack all of them. Your own robots can't get hacked and that's how I finished that dungeon.

Shove Gatling Lasers on her and you'll know which one she is.

Use http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Inspirational level 2 and it won't matter if she gets in the way, you won't harm her.

Does the perk about making companions immune to your attacks apply to Ada?

Edit: The post above me said the same thing.
