Well in my honest opinion, using 3 graphics cards, you need a really REALLY good cpu to do that. pretty much an intel cpu, but even those bottleneck as well... If you do plan to do tri sli, make sure you have a good cpu.

BTW, that's not really a 3-way SLI, that's a 2-way SLI with an extra graphics card for PhysX. You don't actually connect the SLI bridge to the third in that setup ... but TBH, PhysX is just a fad that is in a small portion of games relative to whats out there.

I have a GigaByte Mobo, but MSI make some good quality hardware and the military grade caps are whats nice (less coil whine). Regardless, check around on review sites to see whats going on with the motherboard overall. The SLI/CrossFire hardware is essentially the same all round, so there's not much of an issue there.

The only thing, like what Marthian said, is that your CPU shouldn't bottleneck the cards (irony, my i7-920 is bottlenecking my 5970 because I haven't bothered OCing, lol)

... fair enough, OR, you could get a Lucid Hydra mobo from MSI and use AMD cards, LOL.

As long as the reviews are good, the mobo should be good :)

Lucid Hydra = a magical little chip that allows you to mix different brands (yes, brands, you can have a Nvidia card for PhysX and AMD/ATi for the rest) and models of graphics cards (slower card with super fast card). The chip basically allows scaling between the different models of cards as well as having the right logic to have Nvidia and AMD/ATi cards working with each other. I believe the MSI Big Bang mobo has it.

Soz for the late reply ... Crossfire? Its anything bud. Again, it allows hybrid configs between nvidia and AMD, but for crossfire and SLI, the brands would obviously need to match. Regardless to say, you can still put other cards alongside the crossfire/SLI
