So much bad in this. (PvP scaling)

"Will your level be scaled up when joining a PvP zone, or will you remain the same level and be a part of a level "bracket"? For example, if I am level 16 and enter a PvP zone, will I be scaled up to max level along with everyone else, or will I remain level 16 and play with people in the 10-19 bracket? – By Yousef AlQattan"
You will be scaled up to approximately level 50. You’ll be able to remain competitive, but a true level 50 will have the advantage of having more skills and abilities than you.



This is just bad. Such a bad implementation. I have no constructive response to this other than to say its bad, and they should feel bad. Scaled up to level 50? Lol learn to make a good PvP game with a variety of levels involved with it.

This means you can ONLY pvp at level 50. Haha, stupid things are stupid. Enough said. I'm out.

I won't play this game unless I can pvp at any level. How stupid can an implementation be?

Derp my skills arnt level 50 but I am, yeah that makes total sense. Fix it, fix it now.

Its actually a lesser of 2 evils in terms of solutions from the developer. Low level pvp tends to svck and be dominated by twinks, and it also keeps everyone who wants to pvp in the same bracket so one will never lack for opponents.

We don't even know what the pvp zone looks like, but I don't like the ideia of instanced pvp, if you are low level ask help for someone in your alliance or go somewhere else and come back stronger.

You've known about PvP scaling for a year? Tell me more about how they just released this information.

Provide evidence you knew what PvP scaling was going to be like, thanks.

Low Level pvp is awesome. Your flavor of a game is wack.

Yeah we have known this for months, it might have been even in the first Game Informer articles. And it really isn't that big of a deal, PvP only happens in cyrodiil so you can't really have brackets for low lvl players and i don't see the problem with scaling low lvl players health and damage up a bit so they wont get instantly killed.
But wait... aren't you the same guy who a few weeks ago found out that you can't play as imperials? I wonder what else you might have missed :P

So instead of providing the company with a solution on how to fix a "bad" idea, you just want to complain. Makes Sense,,

Many games have these scaled Battleground concepts, also many games have these being a dead area. So instead of taking the risk on creating something that no one might not do, why not create something that everyone can do, from level 10 all the way through end game.

If you're fighting against someone who has been level 50 for months, you're still able to contend with them but they will have better stats, and more unlocked skills, it only makes sense.

with not having any pvp stat on gear I dont think it will be as much of an issue as previous games. Heck I used to play daoc before they put in lvl appropriate pvp and it never bothered me. I also played true pvp centric games were there was no shelter, scaling or deterrent to pvp. It was the driving force behind guild formation and true community oriented teamwork.

lol yes they answered the question. Yes we have known that we can start to PvP in Cyrodiil starting at lvl 10 and we get lvl boosted to 50 for a very long time. Don't have to link anything because its common knowledge.

It only happens in a continent bigger than any of the factions 3 area's. Yeah, only.

Petty way to try to make things easier for themselves. Can't even put in the effort to do progressive pvp, so everyone's a winner! This couldn't be further from the truth. A good game implements a way for you to lose, and feel like you've lost as well. So you learn from your mistakes.

Terrible implementation is Terrible.

I'll back him up on that. Paul Sage has been upfront about lvl scaling to fifty for a long time.

And thats the problem, there are much less low lvl people playing pvp than there is max lvl players and if you cut them to lets say 5 level each and from 10 to 50 the game would have 10 different cyrodiils for low level players. Do you realize how empty the pvp area would be? I do like fighting others even if they are higher level than me more than running around in a completely empty zone.

I'm fine with this... upscaled characters are still at a disadvantage but they can at least level up and experience PvP before they hit max level.

I couldn't see them making 10-19, 20-29, etc zones in Cyrodiil. If they didn't upscale then they probably would of blocked off Cyrodiil until you were close to max level.

Immersion breaking going from level 50 back down to level 13. Enough said. Rather PvP in a dead area then been given the gift of being a God and then all of the sudden taken back down to a Peon.

Progressive PvP until 50.

being level 50 before your suppose to be level 50 isn't a solution, its a band-aid on a problem they didn't want to deal with. Please realize this.
