C2 Multiplayer fail?????

Post » Mon May 24, 2010 5:16 am

If you have played C1 multiplayer u might have noticed how horrible it was and how unbalanced it was. Now it may jsut be me but this scenerio happens to me everytime i play Crysis. I get the drop on someone and start spraying him with lead then he turns around and 1 shots me? hte gameplay is so unbalanced seeing how the experienced players get all the good wepons and the new players get stuck with the bad weapons. so its impossible for new players to get good if they keep getting killed by the experieced ones? I sure hope they fix this problem in C2 :'(

Well...1st don't spray.

2nd you dont have to be the experienced one to get better weapons. If you are playing Power Struggle you'll just have to capture bunkers, energy sites and facilities to get PP (prestige points) and of course kill.

The more points you get the higher you rank up and the higher your rank is the easier is to buy the expensive weapons.

3rd Why shouldn't the experienced ones have the upper hand?

You don't just apply to work at some company and become the president of that company at day one, you have to work for it.

Watch the crysis 2 multiplayer vid here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4tjlj5A138

It looks like it'll be more balanced
(I too hated when I'd shoot someone 100s of times then they'd just 1 shot me, though you get used to it)

Crysis was unbalanced? I guess you learn something new everyday.

It really wasn't because the availability of weapons was usually up to you. You could buy the stuff that fit your needs the best, not to mention, you had to utilize all of the nanosuit's powers to have a better outcome.

Crysis is unbalanced. The SCAR is very oped, has almost no recoil. All weapons were pretty much useless compared to the SCAR. Not to mention the laser sight which made it much more accurate for some reason. The shotgun took a couple of shots to kill and most of the time you were probably dead before you managed to kill someone. Not to mention circle jumping, which imo was bs. It took forever to land a bullet on them with them zooming sideways back and forth and they would just kill me in a few shots. When people had high pings and were circle jumping it just made it a lot worse. The Crysis 2 multiplayer seems a bit bland imo.

it sounds like you are a noob.lol.
it was perfectly balanced.you just need to find a low ping server.
i took me months before i could finish a match with a positive kd.
crysis is NOT noob freindly.i hope they wont pull a bad company 2 on crysis 2.bad meele attacks and extremly noob freindly.leave as the first was, just polish it more.its amazing what mods did to that game.

Best way to get good quick is not in a PS game, but in a TIA match. TIA is better for beginners because you can stick with your team which allows you to find a weapon faster. Some servers have you spawn with a better weapon than a pistol so that increases your chances from the start.

Go to a map that has no vehicles, because they will only hinder your progress, and you will just get owned trying to play as infantry unless you are very good. You should look for a server that isn't loaded with pros, but average players (although there aren't many left). Then you play for an hour per day and spectate the best player in the match for a half an hour per day. Pay close attention to what they do and try to implement that into your style. Then practice, and expect to die alot at first but after a couple of weeks of this type of "training" you will jump out of the getting owned to holding your own. Then you should play more IA and PS and gain experience now that you can get some good kills.

it's not unbalanced, if they do it to you, learn and do it back, and it's like that in most games, cod has unbalanced weapons (tubes,g18,p90) so it's about learning the weapons positions and then heading to the best option and you have a scar at all times...

Then can you explain why almost every player goes scrambling for the SCAR? And the lack of variety of the kill messages? (most of the time its "player" was killed by SCAR)

And as for cod, noob weapons, such as the noob tube is unbalanced. Works for any situation. All you have to do is hold up in a position, and spam them with it. As i have played COD games, I know what I'm talkign about. In addition, oped/noob weapons dont always mean that you have to learn to use them in certain circumstances. For example, take the m60 from BC2 before the patch fixed it. It was severely oped, was able to decimate anyone at long range, mid range, and short range.

Btw you just called the weapons you were talking about unbalanced while at the same itme youre trying to say theyre not. Just because both teams use an unbalanced weapon, it doesnt automatically mean its balanced.

As for tomtomwolfwolf, I dont really consider myself a noob, as i have over a 100 hrs in the game and I do all right in terms of my k/d ratio (above 1).

Oh and has anybody here played multiplayer power struggle, especially with a VTOL around? Anyone leaving the bunker was instantly killed, plus the VTOL moved too fast to be hit reliably, especially with the missle launcher. Often many people on the side getting killed by the VTOL would quit, leaving the server half.

Damage stats for anyone who is curious:

FY71: 52 damage (without silencer). Damage drop 0.2 per meter after 50 meters.

SCAR: 75 damage (without silencer). Damage drop 0.1 per meter after 50 meters.

SMG: 45 damage (without silencer). Damage drop 0.5 per meter after 25 meters.

Shotgun: 50 damage. Damage drop 2.0 per meter after 15 meters. (Shoots 10 pellets, each 50 damage.)

SOCOM: 45 damage (without silencer). Damage drop 0.3 per meter after 25 meters.

DSG1: 250 damage. No damage drop.

Gauss Rifle: 500 damage. No damage drop.

This is from the first crysis. Ignoring the Gauss rifle (which was changed into a two shot kill in crysis wars for the body as opposed to a one shot kill anywhere in the original crysis) and the Precision Rifle (not fully automatic, 2 shot kill to body, 1 shot kill in the head). As you can see, the scar does 75 damage per shot, over 23 damage then the FY71. Plus, the SCAR has less recoil than the FY71.

OK, its not a matter of balance, its much the same in most games, as has been said allready, you dont get to be C.E.O. on yr first day, you start as a janitor and work yr way up, you dont throw water on the floor and swish it around, you use a mop bucket, do it right, dont spray and prey, aim for heads, spray gives your position away.

But wait a mo, lets just flip that coin, multiplayer is full of pro's wanting to be the C.E.O., and the majority of those people/gamers, dont want competition, ( NOOBS ) so they do thier best to piss them of with one shot kills and the like, more over, Aimbots and such Cheats are in regular use, to achieve status, even spawn kills.

So,,,, yea, who here wasnt a ( NOOB ) at one time, anybody here actually born with a microchip implant programmed for maximum skill????

Sure the Games are not balanced, if we could ease out the cheats for a start that would be priceless, there are many, the game would be so much better without them, and the ( NOOBS ) would stand a better chance of taking the ( NOOB ) haters down a peg or two.

( NOOB ) hating not so much better than cheating, change your ways guys, go after the TOP DOG, not the NOOB. while your NOOB hunting the TOP DOG gooing to have your balls on a plate.

If your lucky enough to get one over on the TOP DOG, then go after the NOOB, his bullets just going all over the place anyway, so whats the freakin problem why hate them.

OK Rant over, lol game on, y'all be gd now lmao. :-)

Crysis Wars is one of the most unbalanced games i have ever played. Everybody either uses a SCAR, SMG (because they are lower rank and have no choice), or they hop in a vehicle or the way overpowered Vtol. What we really needed was additional balancing to the FY71 to bring it up to the SCAR's level, fix the 3rd person AA bug, and add a lock on rocket launcher, and then the game would have been "balanced".
