Mysterious Symbols : V

I've found some mysterious symbols in random places all over Skyrim.

Yes, I've found some of these too. I expect that they are just extra attention to detail. I thought they might kind of be like family crests or something.

Actually that http://bit.ly/shrHwj reminded me of the http://www.the-spoiler.com/ADVENTURE/Broderbund/riven.1/riv_logo.gif, funny, being that it's in Riften. Could be an easter egg, but maybe that's a bit of a stretch..

I saw the second one in the doorframe of the entrance to someone's house in Riften. I think it was the house right next to the one with

I've seen the second on the wall of the Whiterun general store, and somewhere in Windhelm too.

Ive seen others in Markarth and Solitude. They are usually on the doors of peoples' houses. I wonder if they mark some kind of secret society that the home owners belong to. Maybee daedric cults or something like that?

they look like thief markings to me. still cool to have em in.

Looks like the deathly hallows symbol.

That symbol is also on the archway/gate up to the companions building in whiterun. looks like it is carved as well nothing official about it. :/
