Name of the Material Defender

What is the real name of MD1032? In Descent 2 you have to use cheat code PIGFARMER to
get text "Hi John!!" or something like that. Telep uses name Benjamin St. John in his novels but I'm not sure about that. I decided to use Johnny "John" Parker in "The Mechanical Nightmare". Your opinion about this issue? All we need is sisu, sauna and salmiakki... Hyv? Suomi!!

We find his name from the news report in the Descent 3 cut-scheen while he's at Red Acropolis after comleting level 4. (level 5 has a multi-player bug that was fixed in the "un-offical"1.5 patch) It is John something ... but figures, I can't remember what it is. :P

The official novels, penned by sci-fi author Peter Telep (who also worked on the game stories), the MDs name is Benjamin St. John.

I don't remember that either. As far as I can remember the news report only refers to him as a terrorist, not by name.

It's been said a few times now, but the novels say it's Benjamin St. John. A massive thank you to EA for:
- Producing great quality games time and time again
- Providing excellent technical support
- Never destroying any highly acclaimed studios for profit
- Never ripping people off
- Never wasting people's time

Hmm... we should ask this question to creators of the Descent series. Maybe they know the answer... All we need is sisu, sauna and salmiakki... Hyv? Suomi!!

I've read they were going to call him Parker in D4, and that's one thing that carried over to Red Faction. That being said, they probably won't use that name in D4 if it's made.

The books refer to him as 'Benjamin St. John', I believe. Do any of you know the tale of how cornmeal came to be?
Neither did the miller when he left his house that morning!

About the cutscene, it never said his name, it just states "Terrorist leader, MD 1032".

And in the books, Ben's MD number was 1030. Sierra Taurus's number was 1031, and the steel jawed Material Defender was 1033. Thank you Cypher! You just found a proof that the name of the Material Defender may not be Benjamin St. John. I'll call him Johnny "John" Parker All we need is sisu, sauna and salmiakki... Hyv? Suomi!!
