Nano Catalyst Useless after Full upgrades?

Post » Thu Aug 19, 2010 2:56 am

Hello.

In the campaign when you collect Nano catalyst you can use them to purchase Suit Upgrades.

But After you have purchased all the upgrades Nano Catalysts usefullness drops to 0. They just pile up since they have no more usefulness.

I have a concept for the Nano catalyst.

A Crynet Supply Store.

These will be on numerous places on different levels Each with Unique Content and will be only unlocked after finishing the campaign on any difficulty.

What you can get from these things.

Weapons: Weapons that you can find on the ground or used by enemies will be available and a/some weapons that are rare or only can be purchased through stores.

Ammunition: Ammunition/Explosives.

Nano Suit Upgrades: Same as what you get now although different stores will have different upgrades.

Nano suit Power cells: These are a one use only abilities granting you timed abilities. Example, Maximum NanoSuit will give you Double the Sprint Speed Higher Super Jumps and Super Melle. Vehicle Drop Abilitie to mark a drop zone for a tactical Jeep or APC.

Marine Support: Call in Some Marines for Additional Support!

Purchase Vehicle Knnowledge: Purchase Knowledge to be able to drive certain Vehicles. These must be purchased before being able to purchase specific Vehicle Drops.

It would be cool as long as it doesn't turn into a Black ops fashion show.

Wouldn't that require a little re-writing of the SP code? IDK if it can be done or not but I would like to see some Cry-Devs around.

Anyways, good idea!

If they could put it in a patch that would chooba awesome but I guess it would only be possible in Crysis 3, That I doubt I'll be getting though.

I would use the nano catalyst to combine everything into a "maximum" state. Like combine every thing in the armor section for true "maximum" armor.

So far i haven't found anything that i'd really like to have in exchange for the nano-catalyst, i might think of something later on my during my 2nd playthrough.

And now for some wishful thinking... why not use the nano-catalyst as a currency to purchase the first DLC? A free DLC would be a good move by Crytek to soothe the animosity around the MP and around a value of, let's say, 200.000 nanos you'd get the first DLC for free. For those that don't have this amount of nanos this would be a good incentive to replay the game and try a different approach. That's what i'm doing now, approaching the gameplay in a different fashion than i did the first time.

Or else create new ammo modules to include armor-piercing rounds for the SCAR or any other rifle for instance...

So getting in a tank is struggling through? and youwant to stop acess to that tank and all the attachments until the last section of the game? when you couldnt possibly afford all of those things.
