Yes, there have been over 30 of these exact threads posted on DAY ONE! Learn to research! And Cry-Tom already addressed this!
Who cares if Cry-Tom addressed this? Maybe instead of learning to research, you should learn the concept of the Rightfully Angry Customer.
I just love the people who come here to pounce on those who have valid arguments against Crytek, like they are expecting some sort of in-game bonus, or perhaps a PR job. It is absolutely fabulous to imagine that Crytek is hard at work trying to fix the stupid Nano Catalyst bug, but hey, I'm cynical. Just because a couple Crytek Admins come here and say they're working on it doesn't really do it for me, I want some bleeding results. They don't know how long it will take to fix? Maybe this should have been something they fixed oh, I don't know, months ago. Or maybe let anyone who wanted to buy the game know that there was a slight chance they might not be able to collect the Nano Catalyst... oh wait, that is just bad business. What is good business? "Let the customer find out for themselves that they got the shaft until we finally figure out how to fix our product. And don't forget to feign apologies."
From my point of view, there isn't anything for Crytek to defend. Saying sorry only goes so far. I'm not a total psycho, it's not like I plan on writing them off for all eternity, when the game is fixed I will play it happily. But in *ALL* honesty, I haven't purchased a video game that has essentially forced me to wait for a fix like this EVER. I've had to play badly designed games with bugs, sure, we all have. But never, EVER (!!) have I thought to myself, "Damn, this is SO frustrating I have zero desire to even play this game!". I've always been able to cope with making up for lost time, a bug here and there, typical gamer stuff. This is just hilarious though, and I'm sure a decent percent of everyone who reads this and have had no game-breaking bugs think "Cool story" or think I am another windbag, since this is a message board about a video game, after all.
In short... I guess Crytek just isn't as good as I thought. Other AAA developers with constricting schedules never release games with such pathetic, fun-sapping bugs.
