Navigating Tamriel in the CK

Post » Sun Feb 17, 2013 7:26 am

I've finally wrapped up most of the tutorials, and I'm looking to actually begin my mod which will take place primarily in the Tamriel World Space. I want to open up Tamriel in the CK and zoom around a bit to pick a good spot for what I want. However, whenever I rotate the camera over Tamriel so it's not directly top-down, I get lots of issues with cells disappearing, even when those cells should fill most of the camera.

Is there any way to make the CK less aggressive in terms of the cells it chooses to load out? I just built a brand new machine so I'm sure I could handle displaying like a 5x5 grid of cells around the camera, or something.

*edit* and then I immediately thought, "Wouldn't that be in Render Window properties?" and it was. Under misc, I changed grids to load to 15 and that helped. Sorry for the stupid message.

Do you have "Enable Landscape LOD" under Preferences/LOD turned on? That should definitely help with getting an idea of where you are, and takes up a lot less resources than having a Grids to Load of 15.

This was no stupid message.

Just think that there may be other people who will read this message and save themselves a lot of time by seeing your solution.
