Ok so awhile back im sure some of you did not see this but they revealed all black NCR concept gear in artwork form. We have seen two different varations of the NCR Elite gear (The trenchcoat & gas mask helm), one varation is all in black and I am wondering if that is just concept too or if they confirmed it being in.

I am also confused about if the Elite NCR trenchcoat guy's are part of the Rangers or not.

yea, their rangers too, but i beleive their the 'desert' rangers, not exactly sure

The trenchcoat/gasmask guys ARE the Rangers.

Yep. The guys in the bucket hats and military uniforms are the NCR Troopers, while the guys with the gas masks and trenchcoats are NCR Rangers.

I really hope one of their armors is my avatar. It was pictured in a magazine but may just be speculation work.

So what is Boone's armour set? I think there must be two sorts of ranger armour out there, possibly two sort of ranger... :unsure:

There's also a plain combat armor variant of ranger armor that is referred to as NCR Ranger armor, that's true. The ranger armor seen on all of the promotional artwork actually looks a lot like what http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Tycho was described as wearing in the original Fallout, and he was a Desert Ranger from the Vegas area. I'm of the persuasion that the gas mask/trench coat armor is supposed to be the same outfit Tycho wore in the original Fallout, so I think it's Desert Ranger armor. I could be wrong, but that's how I'm interpreting it.

I'm thinking the Black Trenchcoat/Gas Mask is Desert Ranger whilst http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/New_California_Ranger_armor is the more standard fair for the normal Rangers. :tops:

Im thinking the devs finalised on NCR's NV branch wearing brown.

NCR troopers(wear brown militant outfits) and the NCR rangers(wear brown trenchcoats)

The NCR Rangers all dont have gas masks and armor.
Those are just the Alpha Rangers.
NCR Rangers have a other speical set of armor as well

NCR armour(all of it) looks great. So does the CL (red capes)

They don't look silly! They are dressed like the Australian Army during WWII, I actually like the way they look. (Its better then looking like one of those Caesar's Legion pansies with their man-skirts.) :tops:

Besides we get those striped motor helmets with sunglasses and a nice black mask around the face.

Well, do we know for sure that the trenchcoat and gas mask thing is Ranger armor, or are people just assuming? We know that it is affiliated with the NCR flag because of the trailer, but other than that... I even wonder if it is a specific character who wears this armor and will give it to you.

The Desert armor (with trenchcoat & mask etc) are Elite NCR, wether they are Rangers or not I am not %100 sure of. I am pretty sure there Rangers though as well

And @Bossstealthagent yea I am hoping the same, I hope that there is also a black version of the NCR Ranger armor. Like possibly the black geared rangers are your more secretive black op guy's for the NCR if there even is black gear like that. We will see . . .

Honestly, I hope it is directly involved with Tycho, and that it isn't faction specific. It'd be nice to wear it during my solo playthrough without the NCR thinking I'm trying to disguise myself.
