Over the course of my experience playing Fallout: New Vegas, I've discovered something that is pretty annoying. I collect NCR cash so I can exchange them for chips at the various casinos... As I'm sure many other people do. The problem is, the majority of these dollars are $5 bills. I just recently spent about 15 minutes trying to exchange all my $5 bills for chips...

I was just thinking of ways to mend this time-consuming problem. I thought about just selling the money and pocketing the caps, but I'd lose a great deal of money in the process. One possible solution would be to have an NCR official that exchanges different denominations for bigger bills. For instance a man in the NCR embassy on the New Vegas Strip that will exchange all $5 or $20 bills for $100 bills. This would significantly reduce the time it takes to exchange NCR cash for chips. Not only that, but it would give a good target for Legion or thief/stealth oriented players to hit for cash (albeit this would be a risky move).

Just a thought. Any other ideas?

I agree, annoying to get those dirty 2 chips from a single bill at a time.. How about an "exhange all" button?

That would work too. The only reason I suggested an exchange character was just to add to the game. I like the idea of giving a player another target to hit for cash. A simple exchange all cash for chips option would be a much quicker change though.

is there any way to spend NCR or Legion money besides at the casinos? they seem pretty useless.

You can barter with it. It's worth quite a bit of caps.

The best way to get cash out of them I think is to exchange the money for chips at a casino and then just exchange those chips for caps. That way you don't lose any cash in the transfer like you would at a shopkeeper or trader. Unless you have high Barter skill.
