NCR Veteran (ghoul?) Rangers

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 9:36 pm

Ok so one day I decided I didn't like those pesky rangers at camp golf. Went on a killing spree and what not. When I started looting that fancy armor off all the rangers, I noticed every single one of them was a ghoul. Is this just by chance? I mean I can see how ghoul rangers could be more experienced than others and what not, but seemed peculiar.

Rangers don't discriminate. In fact, there were Super Mutant rangers in FO2.

its random, but id say that alot of them are rangers vets through the decades of experience theyve managed to survive, a 100 year old ranger probably has his stuff and sights down and better than a off the bat beginner ranger

I just don't get how they went from super mutie rangers to instigating attacks on muties with proxy mercs.

Random ranch attacks aren't a good enough reason!

Spoiler
From what I remember that op wasn't run by the NCR, it was one of the Brahmin barons who hired them to provoke the muties into doing something that would bring the NCR military down on them. Probably the Brahmin baron visiting the Strip.....

The NCR heavily consists of humans and ghouls.
Ranger Station Echo is all ghouls except for 2 humans.

So yes, expect to see some Ghoul Rangers and Vets, as they were recruited to be apart of the NCR.

The NCR always had corrupt leaders. They tried a similar tactic in FO2 when they made a secret alliance with the Bishops to hire raiders to attack Vault City so that Vault City would eventually be forced to join the NCR for protection.
