Necromage + All Illusion Perks

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 9:42 am

I'm getting my character prepared for Dawnguard. I was going to make another character, but I changed my mind. I just don't have it in me - at least not yet. I had 14 free perks left over after my build was done. If I spend 13 of those in order to max out the Restoration tree, and get Necromage in the process, how effective will it be when combined with illusion spells?

Pacify, for example. Alone, it calms enemies up to level 28. With dual casting, it pushes it up to about level 56. If my math is correct, wouldn't Necromage allow me to calm undead up to level 70?

i dont know why you would need it that high i thought the enemy level capped out just a little over 50.

I thought they said the enemies would scale higher in the DLC? Being able to calm or enrage them would help.

Yep, Necromage works like that.

I have a hunch that it might be changed in Dawnguard though, so all vampire hunters won't feel forced into going Restoration, and to solve the crazy Vampire + Necromage synergies (which I doubt was intented).

i remember them saying they would add in newer enemies for higher leveled players, but i didnt read anything saying that enemies would be scaled to a higher level than 50.

I never tried this Necromage stuff. Never got very far in with restoration. The best defense is a good offense... and when [censored] goes down I hit the shout button.

I've read that legendary dragons will spawn with this DLC. Ancient dragons are 50'ish? Legendary 60/70? Maybe some other enemies are getting upgraded. Hopefully not briarhearts. Gotta keep them off their feet or they 1 shot my mage as it is now.

I really hope they don't change the Necromage perk. I spent far to long running into pendulums and healing myself to get that perk for its advantages to be taken away :(

Seriously, they better ****ing not.

Anyways, my problem if they add tougher enemies is that, well, the main focus of this DLC is vampires. Vampires tend to be mages. Mages are gimped (slightly) due to destruction.

Weak destruction + harder enemies = Shenanigans.
