Need advice on current events

I'm currently level 23. My main quest is advanced to diplomatic immunity wich I have no complted. I've done many misc quests and side quests and 2 daedric quests.

My dawnguard quest is now about finding a moth priest. So I decided that since I had not visisted winterhold I would go there. My journal telling me that I can go there (optional) to get info on the moth priest. The thing now is that I realize that after entering it I just started a serie of quest related to being a mage.

My character is mainly a fighter with restoration skills. Smithing, Heavy armor, One handed, blocking and decent archery and two hander.

Should I go over all theses mages quests in my current situation ? Or should I just go in other major town inns and ask for moth preist to keep winter college quests laters ?

Thank you !

If it were me...I would not forego the Mage questline if it were not within my current character's RP parameters to do so. It sounds like you have a Warrior character and it would not fit their profile. I am not sure which Mage would have the info you seek, but it should be in one of their dialog selections.

Otherwise you could just visit any Inn and talk to the Innkeeper.

EDIt : It would probably be better to have this thread in the Dawnguard forums here...http://www.gamesas.com/forum/196-dawnguard-cheats-hints-and-spoilers/

Click on the "report" button and ask a mod to move it for you. :tops:

One huge benefit to the mage quests are overlooked by most starting characters. You immediately get a free room 2/ storage. until you get the 5k needed for your first house in Whiterun, this is a major benefit.

@ level 23, however, all this quest will get for a non mage is just some interesting fights. Not much in the way of equipment outside random drops and such, but you will get some cool looking weapons in the Drainheart series. Basically, a bunch of spectral weapons.
