I just restarted, no companions yet; have 45 repair skill and 2X magazine Perk, so if I had a Repair magazine, I could repair ED-E.

Does anyone know where a REPAIR magazine is?? That a level 4 character can get to that is!

You can also repair ED-E using spare parts.

you can fix ED-E with either 65 repair or 35 repair 55 science & spare parts (2 scrap 1 spare electrics iirc)

If you have not taken it yet, there is one sitting on a shelf in the Prospector Saloon over at Goodsprings that you can steal overnight when everyone has gone to bed. It is straight ahead and slight to the left when you come in through the front door. Alternatively, Trudy may sell it as well.

There are two in Goodsprings, not counting ones you may find in mailboxes. One in the house southeast of Doc Mitchells house, and one in the Prospectors saloon in the pool hall area. There are guides available online as well as a good offical guide book you can buy at the stores or online.
