Need to finish Main Quest to start Dragonborn?

Post » Mon Dec 03, 2012 8:55 pm

I restarted my game recently and have been putting off the main story. Do you think we will need the main questline to be finished in order to start the Dragonborn DLC? I'm assuming so, seeing as beating Alduin.. well the next best thing would be the first Dragonborn.
I don't see how it would make sense while in the middle of the main questline you just sort of " Oh, I'm going to travel to Solsthiem and kill the first Dragonborn real quick... NOW, BACK TO ALDUINN!! "

And also, what do you think the level requirement will be?

I'm sure there will be a level requirement, hopefully (for MY SAKE) it's pretty high. As for doing the MQ, from what 'sources' that I've heard- you don't need to start the MQ, but there will be different Dialogue if you do start it.

Alright thanks! I think I'll start it just to be safe lol.

You will be able to travel to Solestheim before finishing the End... It's an Open World Rpg Sandbox...

What if you wanted to be a guy who just wants to move to Solestheim? Nope. You have to finish the Main Quest Sorry &--#60; (Sarcastic)

But there will be a level requirement (I HOPE) Now if you will excuse me, I have to boost my level on My new Character so I don't have to Kill every enemy in 1 hit. And so I Can explore with some danger.

You won't have to, but I think the story seems cooler if you do.
