Hi Guys

this is my first post on this forum but i have been reading it for the past week at work in my breaks, i'm loving all the talking that is happening and i am really excited for this game to be released.

My problem however is that i cannot decide on a race to choose.
My original feel was to go for a Wood Elf because i like to be a sneaky assassin who uses primarily a bow, but also uses one hand weapon and magic. (destruction with a bit of restoration)
I purely chose the wood elf because they are renowned as good archers, however I've done some reading and am not sure the dominion is something I like.

So I figured I would ask you guys, the community for help on choosing a race to fit my play style.

Any opinions would be welcome and feel free to post your own race/ play style, i am interested to find out what everyone else will be playing.

The question is, what do *you* want to play as? It's your story.

What race do you think would best represent what you want your story to have? Mage? Thief? Warrior? A combination? Some races are better than others for skills.

Ask yourself what you really want from it. What have you played before?

As far as I know there are no class restrictions for any race.
So basicly choose the race you like. If you don't like the elven elitism of AD, but you like elves, then how about a Dunmer Archer (Ebonheart Pact)?
In Elder Scrolls Orcs are elves too, in case you don't like EP as well.

If the differences between the races are close to previous games, it doesn't really matter. Don't worry about that. Poison immunity instead of frost resistence isn't going to make you a less effectiv archer.

Well as i said in the original post i like to play a Ranged Assassin type character, with a proficiency in 1H weapons and magic as a secondary.
This is the sort of play style I developed in Skyrim.
I ask as I am not so familiar with the lore and am wondering which races suit this kind of play style.

okay so the racial bonuses arent really worth worrying about?
For example a Breton or Nord as my play style would not be at a disadvantage as opposed to a wood elf?
