Need help choosing a steward

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 4:18 pm

So, my Nord hunter has finally got his house in Falkreath made, got all the gear he wants, perfect follower(aela). Now I need to choose a steward and possibly a wife, any suggestions? Try to keep it similar to a hunter clan, default fur, scaled, or studded armor, stuff like that. Aela also will not be the wife, strictly follower due to most of my other Nord characters already marrying her.

Well if you're already with the Companions, how about going for Ria and Njada Stonearm? They both wear fur/scaled and are available for marriage and to become stewards. Another steward option: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Eola.
i know that none of them really classifies as a hunter, but they seem to meet your visuals requirement ;)

What all races are available as stewards? I'm thinking of having my Khajiit create the ultimate multi-race household!

Haha Aela as my follower, Ria as a wife, and Njada as a steward? Sounds like I'm starting a Companions House of Ill Repute lol even the name would sound correct. Good suggestions though, I'm considering a male steward though, just to balance out the ticking estrogen timebomb.

All races except Khajits, Argonians and Altmer (you can still marry an Argonian or Altmer, though). http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Followers is a list of followers and those that can be employed as stewards are marked appropriately.

I haven't found a male follower that's available for a steward that would wear fur or studded, really... but go over the link in my previous post, you might find someone in case I didn't look carefully. Faendal is an archer and could sort of count as a hunter, but he wears regular clothes.

Edit: how about http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Valdimar? He's assigned as your housecarl in Morthal, but if you don't intend to build a house there (in which case you would lose an additional property defender), you can employ him in Falkreath.

Edit2: also check out http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Lob.

I was thinking Lob too, I had overlooked Valdimar due to him being a mage, but they hardly ever do any fighting anyway so I think he'll work perfectly.

Thank you for helping me choose a steward. Valdimar is gonna work great because the other two house are just gonna be small one room shacks for while I'm out and about. No need for housecarls there:).

I like Faendal. He's like the Alfred to my Batman. :batman:
