Preordered from Steam. Game ran but had lots of texture pop in, ctd, and missing textures on 11.8 drivers. tried numerous configs and 11.6 , 11.10p1 , 11.10p2 drivers, Game finally ran good on 11.8 with one config. Some ctd and texture missing issues but nothing bad. Got as far as meeting mayor of Wellsprings. Then along came the "patch". Got ctd after load or start new game. After a week of trying drivers from 11.6 on and trying every combination of settings in game and CCC, and rageConfig.cfg's. The best I have gotten is using the 11.9 drivers, luaunch options of +cvaradd jobs_numThreads -1 +vt_maxPPF 16, and a rage config of

I am able to see about 75% of the proper textures in the game the rest are either black squares or improper textures. I would love to be able to play more of this game but the visuals are too bad to continue.
Any and all help would be appreciated.
Have to wonder why Id and Bethesda wont release the drivers they got this game to run on. Almost wish I had pirated this game instead of buying it. This is the only time I think I would allow someone to advicate pirated software.

See if staring a new game helps. It did the trick for me. I don't use any custom rageconfig settings anymore either. But it was starting a new game that finally cured the problem.

trooper321 Already tried. Most of the luanch options and cofig are the same. Had ctd at start with rest of post. Thanks for your help.
I can only hope that someone has the answer since there seems to be no fix coming from Id, Bethesda, or AMD.

Not sure if this will help but it fixed my rage . Read the 12th post down from DarkEyEinc on this link and Good Luck . PS... A girl I know w/ a gforce card used the rage config he posted and start up rage command line and it worked for her as well .

Im thinking this is going to take a number of patches before I can play this game. At least I have the better games to come out this year to play while I wait. AND I know that the games still to be released will play when I buy them.

Yeah it seems way too buggy. I think when my friends ask I'll tell them to wait until this stinker hits $25.00

Set Anisotropic filtering and Antialiasing to application controlled in your control center. i have nvidia but anyway this fixes the black squares and bugged textures...

Thanks for the reply but I have tried both ways application controlled seems to work the best, but the graphics problem still exists. In fact I have tried moving each setting in the AMD control center one notch at a time in the hopes that something will fix it.
Appreciate the help. The more I have tried to get this game to work the more I realize that there is not so much a problem with the drivers as a problem with the game. I see the fact that there are so few graphic settings available in the game even after the patch as an indication that no one understands how changing alot of the settings will affect the game.
