Hi, I got a huge problem with rage.

Yesterday I bought a copy of rage in steam, but I can't play, 'cause it close before the intro video ends.

I tried everything, Update my video card driver (Ati radeon 6490 HD) , I've got the Catalyst 11,9, the Rage AMD driver, download the update 1 and 2... BUT NOTHING !

I was looking in internet, and I found 2 patchs, but still not working, I've been for 10 hours trying to fix my problem, but nothing works, can you give me some help please :/ ??

Do not screw around with custom configs and unofficial patches, hacks, and cracks. Those will only screw you over in the end. Make a clean install of Rage, update it to the latest version, and download AMD's latest patch drivers for Rage from their official website and that *should* do the trick.
