Need Help With Auriel's Shield

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 6:46 pm

Um.. Long story.. But short is.. I kinda went to that spot and killed the Falmer Warlord without knowing that he had the shield and now I don't know if it is on the ground or what.. Been looking.

Can anyone give me any tips what to look out for or something? That is the only thing I can think of.. That or restart another character which is something I will not do.. And something else but I will need the PC version or a PC user to help me with that.

He has the shield on his body. If his body has disappeared, then I would guess the shield disappeared with it. Bodies, unlike ash piles, get cleaned up pretty quick when you leave a cell.

There is a chance of him dropping the shield upon death. But if he didn't then I'm gonna need help from the PC community and Idk anyone that can/will help me out AND be on.

I'm on Xbox 360 Version. I do know it is still possible to get the Shield but I need someone of the PC Community to help me out. (Why do you think I have the Conjure Dragon Priest and Spectral Arrow spells?)

Cause Auriel's Shield is one of the classic artifacts from the days of Arena, the first TES game.

Nope, you're SOL if you're on the console.

You may have to reload an old game.

...You do use more than just autosave/quicksave, yes?

You are mistaken. I am not SOL. You can transport your save to the computer then load it on the computer version or something like that... Someone did it for me before and as far as I know, it is legal since you are using legal stuff and stuff they gave you in the game... I just need someone's help to do it and Idk anyone who can and has been on lately enough to make a reply.

No. I personally save a lot. My game rarely autosaves.

That's called console modding and that talk is not allowed around here.

Nope because altering saves on your xbox is a violation of microsoft terms of service. People still do it anyway, but we just don't talk about it.

Micorsoft for some reason doesn't approve of modding. So you can alter your save if you want but if your caught you'll be banned from xbox live.

I'm on Dial-Up so I don't get on Xbox Live. >.>

But still.. I want to get this shield badly and don't wanna restart cause this is my main character I'm talking about.. Maxed out, doing all quests, etc type of thing.. You know how annoying it is to remake a main character and redo EVERYTHING?

Every few years MS do the kill thing to lots of customers who have modded their x-boxes or saves on them. They run some type of check through Live, and auto-kill your console. I think it last happened in 2010 (or so) and they took out around 2 million consoles in one hit, about 6 weeks before christmas. Be wary.

Like I said, I'm on dial-up. I'm never logged in on XBL and that is really just stupid, tbh. I mean, I am against modding certain games or certain types of modding but something like this should be just fine... I mean, it isn't truly my fault for not knowing, is it?

I understand. I lost one of my main characters once because the file become unplayable. But I don't think altering file saves isn't worth it. Because like Gungho says Microsoft does check. I don't when though I think they do it randomly.

And like I said before, I'm NEVER ON XBL. I was on XBL once and that was to get Dawnguard.

~Edit~

And how would they know that your Save Game File was copied and put onto the PC version then played on the PC version? (That is the only way I know of editing... Playing it on the PC version then using Console Commands to add items and such)

Someone actually did offer help awhile ago but PC version of Dawnguard wasn't out yet... And now he is kinda 'dead'.. Hadn't made a reply to any of my posts in a long time.. Last time I heard from him was back in July.

Well.. I tried uninstalling Dawnguard then loading my save to save a new one but that failed. Game kept crashing upon saving...

I guess I am stuck with the option of editing it.. But I don't have the PC version of Skyrim so still need help badly.. Argh..

whywasibanned.com

modding your xbox saves in any form, if caught will get you banned. possably for life. this is why it's not discussed on this forum. No one wants their account banned, acheivments stripped and the Cheater tag permently attatched to any future accounts they may have.
If you want to enjoy mods, do it on a PC.
