I have had Skyrim for (almost) year so far and, like so many others on these forums, I suffer with an inability to refrain myself from continuously restarting the game - desperate to find the perfect character build for me. A few weeks ago I finally managed to complete the game's main storyline and Dawnguard faction quests from the new DLC of the same name with my Nord warrior, but have since deleted him from boredom. I have played as all of three main character archetypes: thief, warrior and mage. Yet, so far, none seem to interest me that much. A warrior who uses swords just feels to simplistic and overdone - certainly not unique. I have tried numerous times to be a thief character, but I simply don't enjoy the long-winded stealth style of gameplay. I have tried to be a destruction mage also, but destruction magic is incredibly weak for the most part once you reach higher levels. So, can anyone here recommend some interesting and more unique character builds? I am willing to try anything, so long as it isn't stealth based.

A Nord, heroic name. Uses his fists only, fortify unarmed and heavy armour perks. And a shield with the perk tree up to the perk shield charge. Gameplay: He runs around shield charging people over or punching them. He also shouts people to pieces.

How would that work?

Punch bad people to a pulp and pretend they're unconscious. Use Nightingale Armor as well and sneak.

Pretend their unconscious? No Batman character, thanks.

Well, it is different. But, wouldn't merely using fists be rather weak? Also, whilst I am not a serious role-player, using my fists wouldn't make much sense from a realism/story standpoint?

Skyrim came out in November.
