In Need of a Lemon

Weird title i know.

I think there should be something like the Lemon Law for the gaming industry.

Lemon laws are American state laws that provide a remedy for purchasers of cars in order to compensate for cars that repeatedly fail to meet standards of quality and performance.

Gaming really needs something like that!!

I think you guys are looking for too much when discussing warrented compensation for video games. Although I am good and bent over having paid $60 for a game I can't even play, I really don't see laws being changed or policies being changed to compensate people for games. I just dont think anyone outside of the gaming community takes them all that seriously.

It just drives me nuts when you purchase a game new (most likely $60 for me) and its buggy, crashes, and lags making it very unplayable. You then look to get a refund and are told either "sorry no refunds as its been opened" or"all we can do is give store credit". What kind of BS industry is this?
