We need REAL trolls like this, not apes. : V

This is my first TES game and loving it (also on PS3) but one thing I don't understand is why are the apes called trolls? They are just apes, I wish they were something more like this.

Trolls have mostly been this way. It is the Elder Scrolls interpretation of trolls. They have 3 eyes, apes have 2. The trolls troll fine now and there is no reason to change them. Your opinion has been noted, but trolls are still going to be the trolls they have always been.

Wouldn't that look silly? I prefer Bethesdas. I would rather they make up their own style of creatures than carbon copy traditional ones like everyone else.

Trolls have always been the big "OH [censored] a troll" at the lower levels, beating the hell out of you with 50 pounds hands. That's LOTR, these guys are primal monstrosities. If I ever see one in RL, I'll pee.
