5 wasn't enough. I want more. And he has one. Just sitting there, behind that gate or whatever. It requires a key, but I can't find it. Isn't on him, doesn't seem to be in his place, can't kill him. There's more than just a book in there too. It's taunting me. How do I get into that room?

find him a steward and he lets you take it.

You have to do enough quests for him that he makes the comment that he will let you use his enchanting table. Then gives you a key for it
