the lab ray last time i was on cost about 1.2million np's to get so its not something newbies can just go and do :/ just warning you now .-.

so those of you with lab ray who feel like logging into neo just to zap a pet what did you get ?

I've had my labray for about 8 years - back then it only cost me 300k. It depends how interested you are in colours. I've had zombie, maraquan and faerie zaps that I'd never pay for the individual paint jobs.

I've stopped using it now as I like the colours of my pets and don't wanna risk it.

It's totally different. Very corporate since it was bought by Viacom and then, later, nickelodeon.

I haven't been on there for like... ten years or so. I doubt my account exists anymore. I had a pickle Chia (... or something like that) I loved to death, that much I remember.

I haven't been on Neopets in forever. I don't have access to any of the login info for my old account so I couldn't log into it even if I wanted. (assuming my old account still even exists.)

Made a few accounts on Neopets during my jr high and early high school years. Every one of them had the lab ray. I'd easily rake in between 7k and 20k neopoints a day doing my usual routine, so it was always easy for me to get enough points to get the map in just a short time.

From younger cousins I've seen the changes that have happened on it since quitting, makes me quite glad I quit when I did. The site's become a money-grubbing (neo-cash, really?) ad-fest.

I still remember my password, yay. Looks like my stocks are still worth nothing. There was a point where I came back after not visiting for a year and one of the stocks I invested heavily in had skyrocketed.

Too bad rent has to be collected daily, otherwise it would've counted up nicely over the years.

I don't think I ever really used the lab ray.

I remember participating in several Altador Cups some years ago, that was pretty fun.

Back in . . . '01 I think, my girlfriend (now wife) was doing a semester abroad. We both made accounts on Neopets so we could play games together online

I don't remember my account information, and wouldn't be surprised if it was culled years ago given the extended inactivity. I had a mutant lizard and a mutant bug, if they're still around I suspect they're hungry.

I remember the lab ray only cost 20k or something like that when I played. Looks like inflation really hit the site... along with a ton of ads.

I went to this site and got confused as can be. I just saw a site that looked like your average browser game site where you could play flash games. Seen a thousand of those yet this one seems to be important somehow so what am I missing here ?

It was created over a decade ago and you got to have your own personal pet. It was pretty advanced and personalized for its time.

My favorite part about it and still one of my features in games is the amount of loot it had. The best thing was that everything was/is static so they're just illustrations. But they all look consistent. The random events were also really cool.

I have no idea how to do anything with the new format - I started playing in January 2002 and I probably stopped in September or so. I also have no clue what this magical ray thing is, although I am guessing the 140k I have in the bank is chump chance.

Go through your stuff - you might find items worth a lot now that they've retired.

I have a few retired items but nothing of any worth. Although I thought I had a pile of pirate coins and I don't see those anywhere.

I'll admit I'm quite amused poked around here (particularly to see how much hasn't changed, in contrast to things that are entirely different). Although if I'm in the mood to play flash games I'd rather stop by Nitrome.

I learned my first bit of web development through Neopets (constructing my Pet pages)

I guess I'm one of the few that has never used Neopets.

I remember in 7th and 8th grade going to school early so I could use the computer lab to watch Strongbad Emails and play Neopets There would be a line outside the computer lab full of fellow Neopetians (?).

All my friends were jealous of my pet stats and that I had the Secret Lab map
