Basic story is as follows;

I launch the game, and up comes the menu. I hit "continue" and that's it.. I never get in-game instead it stays on the loading screen for what i can only assume is never going to actually load. I can start a new game, that works, but if i want to continue where i left off, The game decides no.

I have tried pretty much everything I have read about fixes and nothing works. I recently tried re-installing to find out that too did eff all.

Anybody else with this problem?

I had this too and I just loaded the save before my last save. I guess saved files can sometimes break so I always keep a few saves around so if my last save dies I haven't lost too much.

Think I lost like 5 minutes of playing the last and only time it happened.

This post must be in the Technical problems section. I've read somewhere that some people was able to solve this kind of problem can be solved by deleting the .bak files of the save games. Although it does not always work. Make a backup of your save game files first.

Thank you, that has worked. Now i just need to resolve the Shut down and reboot crash the game does.

Use gamebooster. I don't know it it helps, but I have only crash with Skyrim so far. That's when I didn't use gamebooster.

Gamebooster helped for awhile but I still had a crash. I suppose bethesda need to find the problem, fix it, and then release a patch.
