I think updated drivers will help quite a bit, and then a patch will make it better!

My question, who dropped the ball on this.

Did id test it on an AMD HD5xxxx or AMD6xxxx card? Did they find their game was broken and said, "screw it, just ship it anyways"? Did id tell AMD that, "hey, your video drivers don't work with our game." and AMD ignored them until enough people complained?

Someone needs to be identified so I can vote with my wallet not to buy their products in the future.

Seriously, almost makes you question playing games on the PC with crap like this.. though the experience, when things are working, are generally superior (if it's not a console port).

I still haven't played more that 2 hours into my game because I want it to run perfect. I am getting EXTREMELY agitated. I have spent more time on these forums since it's release than I have on the game.

It will probably appear at this: http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/GPU121AMDCatRagePerfDriver.aspx but instead of being dated "10/4/2011" would be dated "10/6/2011." That page originally had the broken driver then it had the fixed one - without changing it's page address, just the date on the driver. So, I would think that's where it will show up.

Fingers crossed: the unexpected could still delay the best intentions.

I really like the vibe of the game and look as it is a beautiful created world, but makes it hard to really enjoy the game like this.

NEVER NEVER AGAIN ATI/AMD. I have ati cards from 99 rage fury...

I'm upgrading PC in 2 weeks and switching to nVidia. They have better support for their products.
