New armor glitch? Two pairs of gauntlets.

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 9:08 pm

I was playing around with some different combinations of light armor for cosmetic purposes and came across this. First I noticed forsworn gaunlets didnt even show on my character, then I equipped leather. Then I notice the forsworn is also still equipped. I tried recreating this and it only works equipping the forsworn first. Both the armor values are applied and after I enchanted both I had all four enchantments active. Havent tried putting other gaunlets on over forsworn yet. But Im enjoying an extra two enchants for my necro-vamp! Playing on ps3.

That's a new one by me. I think the Falmer helmet works the same way.

You can also wear a Circlet and a Penitus Oculatus Helmet concurrently. :P

Got a chance to try it now with orc, iron, glass, steel plate, and daedric. Works with all. Just have no gauntlets equipped then put on forsworn then another kind.

I like glitches like this because you can't wear Two Rings, like you should!

I am glad they combined Greaves, Cuirasses, and the Pauldrons over time. That means less lagg.

OMFG, TES had pauldrons separate from the cuirasses at one time? :o

Not only were they seperate, there were seperate left and right! In Morrowind, you had rings (forget how many you could wear), amulets, boots (left and right), greaves, cuirass, pauldrons (left and right), gloves (left and right), helmet, hood, AND you could wear armor over clothes and a robe over your armor!

As a vampire you can stack as many thieves/linwe's/guild masters hoods as you want, giving you a huge armor rating.

I've had a similar thing with the forsworn gauntlets, sometimes they are invisible, that's the time you should be able to equip another pair of gauntlets. I'll test this out later.

Wow. :o I'm a pretty lady and all, but that's waayyy too much to accessorize - especially the separate L/R pauldrons, boots, and gloves.

For me at least, it meant playing most of the game with mismatched gear because the pieces I needed never seemed to turn up in loot. In Skyrim, it's hard enough to put together a matched ensamble without smithing. just imagine trying to match lefts and rights. Plus, and I'll try not to give away any spoilers, there are a few uniques that are only a left or a right.

Wow. That's a frustrating system. :P It wouldn't be as much of an issue for me without the Matching Set perk, but I'd probably get irritated not having a matching set. And, yeah I know what you mean about having a matched ensemble without smithing. It's why I smith on both of my characters - I only want to have to rely on myself. I've never found a complete set of Daedric on either character and have yet to find a complete set of Orchish or Ebony on my 2nd one and she's 70. :o

Well.. Like said before, Boots came in pairs in all Elder Scrolls Games. Don't make me pull up the Construction Set or Wikia.
