With Dragongborn it is now possible to have 7 beast followers at once. Get six of those spiders you can make and get either a Riekling, Dog or Battle Troll for your pet. You need to be a Woodelf to use Command Animal on any strays you find. Also if you're the Dragonborn you can get the summon Werebear ability and use that.

Home: Markarth, Dwarven Ruin

Go get Dwarven armor, weapons and abilities, Vizage of Mizund, Dwarven smithing strengthened ability etc. Then go and get either the Dwarven Spider or Sphere from i believe it's Kagrumez then take that with you. If you have the Aetherium Staff you can summon another. Use conjuration to get the perk that allows you to have two summons so you'll have 3 Dwarven mechs with you.
