A build that I find fun is a Spellsword build. Main skills would be one-handed, light armor and destruction. Secondaries would be restoration, smithing and enchanting.

I played a 1h sword and destruction/restoration character to level 13 and got bored, wasn't really very experienced with perks and what not so wasted most of them. I might one day try it again though it was a decent combo.

The Toy Man. Use only Wooden Swords and make sure to leave a Child's Doll on/in every important enemy's corpse(as a calling card).... of course this would only work if you have Hearthfire.

Not actually played yet, but I'm planning an Altmer warrior with some spell support. Armor, heavy or light doesn't matter just as long as it looks good, 2 hander and bow hotkeyed (xbox/ps3) and toggle those off to dagger + spell (illusion and restoration). Most perks would go into warrior skills with light Illusion, Restoration and Sneak support. Now if I could only conjure up a good name for an Altmer...

I have the same problem. After I leveled my assassin to 81 (legally) I had some trouble finding an interesting build again.

I considered a full Warrior (one handed, two handed, smithing, block, archery and heavy armor build - no perks in other trees even no enchanting). With this build you can combine different tactics in battle. Shield + One Handed / Dual Wielding / Two Handed / Archery. It's a good build but you can only take advantage of this on higher levels.

I'm currently considering this build: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1437489-new-character-build/page__p__22099859#entry22099859
It's kind of a archer marksman
