New Character: Choosing a Race

Post » Tue Dec 11, 2012 11:28 am

Hey everyone, I've recently decided to start yet another character. Now I've generally chosen my characters according to the description(I.e redguard and nord warrior, argonian theif, altmer mage etc..) but I'm starting to become curious if it truely matters or not. Does a redguard swing it's sword faster than the high elf? Does the nord wear heavy armor better than the dunmer? Will I ever actually notice a differnce in damage or can my khajiit happily swing a greatsword just as well as the next character? Can a Nordic mage be just as apt as another?

Any race can be anything they don't play drastically different. The only thing that really changes is their racial abilities.

Only differences are their skill points, racial abilities, and race specific Guard comments.

Thank you, I've never really known weather that was the only difference or not.
