What do you guys think of the rumors surrounding this proposed "Redguard" DLC?

i think it is just rumors or as a few have said just renewing a copyright (wasnt one game or the expansion called redguard?). and if we speculate we will, like always have a ton of people disappointed over things beth never promised. i speculated about dawnguard and it let me down because of it. i speculated about hearthfire, like so many others thinking it was about spellcasting, and was let down by it, i refused to come to any conclusion about dragonborn and i have absolutely fallen in love with it. think my character might marry it. in fact a couple are on solstheim exclusively, and its not morrowing nostalgia as i never played it.

i know this wont do much good but i would discourage speculating. no matter how fun it might be.

I'm not putting much faith in it simply due to when the original trademark was file.

Basically I think it's just the press trying to milk/spin a Skyrim story out of nothing.

Until we get a patch that has some hints in it, I'm not believing it.

I would have agreed with you, but did you see the note to why Redguard was copyrighted? I mentions downloadable content. I thought it might just be a renewal of their ancient TES:Redguard spin-off, but after reading that, I am not so sure.

Besides maybe HF each DLC's title had a literal role in the plot. So if it's real.. this probably has something to do with redguards, or a red guard? Sounds a bit awry, I know, but they haven't really sold a DLC that hit the rocks quite yet. So I'm not concerned about quality. Even greater news is that the 30-day exclusivity periods are supposedly over. So no more month(s) waits. Maybe.

What's your take on this?

After the Dovahbear fiasco, I prefer to wait until something substantial shows up. With Dragonborn, we had those little clues hidden in the patch notes to go off of, and that was fairly concrete. This time around, not so much.

I thought they were just expanding their copyright.

Also Dragonborn isn't coming out this week. Such a shame.

i usually dont research the patents/copyrights so no i wasnt aware of that, thank you for that information. maybe this copyright will be skyrim dlc then. i remember a lot of people speculating that dawnguard was going to involve redguards deeply. and well. i cant remember for the life of me how many redguards there were in it but it certainly didnt revolve around them.

I missed the main event, but got the aftermath. Even though I wasn't there, I still felt betrayed.

oh but the journey downward to betrayal was by far the best. lol. though honestly im one of those who couldnt give a golden rats ass whether we ever get wearbears or not.
