New Game Informer Interview (May 21)

Post » Tue May 22, 2012 12:47 pm

Really good discussion regarding the lore. Some tidbits about gameplay too. If you have concerns about the lore, I recommend you watch this vid!

The lead writer was said to be Lawrence someone. Could anyone tell be how his surname is spelled? I'd I like to look him up.

Yeah, that's him. Some info about him I found at: http://www.mobygames.com/developer/sheet/view/developerId,2107/

Pretty cool - he was one of the early D&D guys. I've actually read a lot of his work and didn't know it :D

Biggest bit of info: A pretender to the Tribunal?

Also: They make it sound so difficult - like they'd have to bend over backwards - to include dragons in the game. But they don't. Naafahlilargus (Naafahlaar?), Skakmat, Paarthunax, and a few others are still around by the time of TESO's storyline. They're just in hiding.

Videos interesting, I'll make a point on it later. One thing that was bugging me though...

The interviewer clearly has no idea what he's talking about

Another great interview, hope they keep them rolling in like this.

Well it really is difficult because dragons are indeed not around at this time, and infact thought to be extinct in Akavir, but that is actually how i see them getting dragons into the game, and the way they said "eventually dragons will be in" leads me to believe there will be an Akavir expansion of some kind in the future.

The Ka Po' Tun cat-like people of Akavir have been trying to become dragons and their leader Tosh Raka is the only one known to actually become a dragon, and is believed to not only be the biggest dragon on Nirn, but also wants to invade Tamriel. This is in my opinion the easiest and coolest way to introduce dragons (one at least) into this time period. An expansion based on Akavir with the main story centering around Tosh Raka and his "Tiger Dragon Empire" attempting to invade Tamriel and players having to stop it and eventually defeat him.

Honestly, your not missing much. But shame on the journalist for not including at least a transcript.
