New Gaming laptop and ESO

Post » Mon Feb 11, 2013 3:59 am

Hey guys I am strictly ps3 so I know nothing about gaming pc's so I need a little help. Ever since I've heard about this game I've been wanting a gaming pc. Not desktop though. How much would I be spending to get one, a decent one. I really want to be sitting on the couch or in bed playing this game. Will this game even work good a laptop. Should I look at a Mac? What's a good company to start looking at. Also should I wait until release to buy it or if I but it soon will it still be able to run this game. Thanks for any help.

Who's gonna be playing this on a laptop.

I just bought a desktop.

For a laptop there should be a pretty big variety you can buy.

Check Tiger Direct.

Without System Requirements no one can really say what Will be able to play it. They've said they're going to make it so that a large variety of laptops can run it. Thus any quasi-new laptop has a good chance of running it.

I just bought a Intel i5...so something with an i3 could probably run it. If you've got money to spend you can go for an i7, but that'll be more than a thousand

You would spend nearly double on a laptop that has the same specs as a desktop that would play ESO at med - high. Go for a desktop.

Unless you've got money to burn, I agree.

If you do have money to burn...

Look at Tiger Direct - Laptops and Desktops - Gaming Desktops

New Egg - Same thing

and perhaps even Alienware. I'm not really sure if they're particularly good or not, but they're certainly expensive.

I feel kind of bad about this, but I have both a laptop (for school) and a desktop, both almost exactly the same price, and the Desktop is phenomenally better gaming wise. You're going to spend a pretty hefty price if you're expecting to play on mid/high level graphics on a laptop. My 600ish$ one probably could run it on low, whilst my 500$ desktop could, depending on how great the graphics are in TESO, would more than likely be able to run it on highest. If you are only purchasing a computer for gaming, there's no reason to not get a desktop. No matter how much you put into a laptop, a desktop will always be better because of screen size and resolution.
