i found this new problem today.
it seems the jarl of Markarth gave me a quest

Is there a marker?

the marker is at the same location where I'm at.
what the jarl of markarth said was to find his father's shield. that would be simple enough if given the proper location, but the fact is that, that location is selected or given to the player at random.
someone drop the ball.

i have a hold axe (the weapons you get for becoming thane) thats done this aswell its name is now axe of
thought i was the only one where stuff was doing some odd stuff like this
i dunno what hold the axe is from it renamed itself after installing patch 1.4 and i hadnt played for a month before that
i think its from whiterun not to sure

kris_dy0000, although this is not an exhaustive list you are most likely to find Hrolfdir's Shield in one of the following locations :

Dead Crone Rock
Blind Cliff Cave
Bleakwind Bluff
Lost Valley Redoubt
Hag's End
Deepwood Redoubt
Stony Creek Cave

This may not be of any use if the game has not placed the shield in the gameworld but I can't think of anything else that might help (other than the usual 'reload from a prior save and try again'). Does the marker actually point to the location where you are or the Jarl i.e. where exactly is it directing you? Anyway, Good luck!

i reloaded an earlier save, thank god i got tons of save file even from an early level.
this is like the weirdest problem i have encountered. i have to restart my ps3 three times in order for the error to correct itself.
the first time it happened, I'm like; dammm
the second time after i restarted the ps3, i took the picture and posted it in the forum.
the third time, i have loaded the same file as the second one, then instead of giving me the standard:

Find for

it corrected itself.
