New hard drive install. Which files to transfer?

Post » Mon Dec 14, 2015 2:27 pm

Hi all,
Long time no post.
I will be removing the 120 SSD and putting a 256 SSD into my PC.
What files need to be backed up and carried over so that I do not lose anything?
I also have the DLC purchases. Are these still available to those who originally bought?
I know that I will need to de-register the game on this HD.
Thank you.

To avoid needing to backup game files manually you could use drive backup and imaging software like O&O Disk Image or Acronis to simply clone the old drive to the new one. You wouldn't need to reinstall anything, just clone the drive and then boot from the new drive.

Hi James.
Thanks for the reply.
I have Macrium Reflect that I could use, but there are some problems with the current install that I want to eliminate by doing a fresh installation.
Current install is about 3 years as well :).

Yeh, better in that case to do a clean install then. Most of the C2 save and profile information is in "C:\Users\YOUR USER\Saved Games\Crysis2"
