New here,should I start again?

Hi everyone,as the title suggests I'm fairly new to the game and would appreciate a couple of pointer's from those of you who know your way around skyrim.

Purchased the game about 10 weeks ago on my son's advice after becoming somewhat fed up with the sport's sims I had always so readily embraced. What an eye opener the game is,I had tried Red Dead Redemption and thought that it must be the biggest game on the 360,how wrong can you be!
Started as an Imperial warrior and fumbled my way through a few quest's with little or no help from my son and became thoroughly hooked.Hit a bug with the thieves guild quest's in that I couldnt find healga for part of a quest and was subsiquently cut off from that direction although it stays in my quest list.Decided to keep going and reached level 50 before I allowed myself to get the Dawnguard DLC (which I really enjoyed).
I'm now at level 61 and wondering should I start again as something else and try and do the thieves quests,or keep going in search of the legendary dragon and build myself up ready for the new DLC.
Please bare in mind that I am a reletive noob to these sorts of game, and any advice from more experienced RPG players will be gratefully recieved. Thanks in advance.

Hello, the glitch with Helga's bunkhouse is perfectley fix-able.

Go to delvin and tell him you can;t do the job and after he has finished complaining you can get him to give you another job.

Everytime he asks you to do the ledger at helga's bunkhouse quit the job and get another from him, (be it another ledger or not) as that one is glitched. alongside a few others.

The rest is perfectley up to you, i just wanted to tell you how to fix that glitch. And good-luck regardless of your choice!

I look forward to playing DLC on my ps3 now that Beth say they are close!

EDIT: Just to say variety can work to your advantage, i woudn't recommend doing EVERYTHING as one character but instead make several and either specalise them or just mess about with each one seperatley, or do what i do and make a really powerful guy whilst having others that are for specific quests. :) Hope this helps!
