New magic?

Post » Wed Dec 05, 2012 8:11 pm

I really hope there are a lot of new spells! I started a mage character in skyrim, because i loved magic in oblivion.

However, magic in skyrim was not as fun. So can somebody tell me if the Dragonborn DLC adds to magic?

Thank you

Then use spoiler tags pls?

Many people who play mages are literally BEGGING for more magical effects besides dragons(houts); I won′t buy the DLC without additional magic utility.

Perhaps be kind and give us some spoilers.

Okay. I will try.

Spoiler
Whirlwind - sends your enemies flying in every direction when surrounded, similiar to fus-ro-dah in its effect. 60 sec sedpt
Conjure seeker - it sends enemies flying across the ground. expert I think
Poison rune - works like a fire rune, except poisons
ash rune - works like a fire rune except it explodes when enemies are nearby immoblizing them in hardened ash

Those are the ones I can remember what they do.

gah.

Nothing good added then? Damn it.

I'm glad I made a warrior character to play with. Bethesda really ignored destruction mages in Skyrim.

why not just download mods for the vanilla game if you only care about the spells?

Spoiler
Bound Dagger was long overdone.
Ashe Rune = Root. The first root in the game. Ridiculouse it is a rune, yet.
Whirlwind, another passive CC, good.

Bethesda seems to get it, finally.

I'm really pleased mages have Bound Dagger again. Now all we need is Open Lock and Waterwalking ... Come on Bethesda!

Still better than nothing. Assuming we can disenchant these boots, mage characters will be fine. Thanks for the info!

I've found quite a few new spells but didn't pursue them because I prefer my bow and sword and shield.
