New Mer Races

Post » Sat Oct 26, 2013 12:25 pm

It is my understanding that the maormer will be making an appearance in ESO. If this is true will there be any other mer races returning such as snow elves (falmer) and dwemer while I do realize that there races disappeared in the mid first era ignoring the pathetic reminence of the falmer is there any possibility that they or any other races will make an appearance.

NO, THOSE TWO RACES ARE GONE, DEAD, KAPUT.*twitch* The moment they are added is the moment TESO dies.

As for others, will never be playable as they are not a mainland tamrielic race and have no part in the war or against Bal

I meant in hiding because snow elves are not extinct yes they are dead near extinction but not extinct same with the dwemer cause there are the dwemer vampires and I was wondering if we get to meat them whether it the vamp dwarves or not I wanted to know but again thank you for your input on this topic I appreciate it.

um, no Dwemer are gone, they literally do not exist anymore (besides that one in TES: Morrowind, but he had corpus and had no idea what happened or why he was the only dwarf spared)

Deformed falmer are likely to be present as mobs in area of skyrim , but I doubt we will see any uncorropted and I am 100% sure we will not see any of them as a playable race not until expansion furtherd down the road,
About Dwemer vampire, are you sure you don't comfuse Ash vampires with dwemer?

If They ever do add them into the game as a playable race, many will leave the game, lore is too precious to Break THAT badly.

When I said playable I mostle meant Maomer, Falmer and Dwemer for obvious reasons shoudn't be playable.

The Maomer never made it to mainland Tamriel at all, the Altmer (being awesome like useall) stopped them from invading several times.

Actually the falmer arent gone. And there were some normal snow elves around in hiding in Skyrim. So it wouldnt be a stretch. But there couldnt be many.

The Falmer are a twisted Beastial remnet of the proud race they once were, they are not even sentient anymore. There are VERY few snow elves who are still alive and are still sentient/sane, VERY FEW.

Right. During Skyrim there are two left. But there were other before that i think. And maybe they are still alive the 2000 years before Skyrim? But i dont think itd be fair to put any in if they only reside in skyrim, bc probablyonly ebonhearts could meet them.

You know that I spend days, weeks, months in Morrowind to find a florishing Dwemer city. One of the rumours in Morrowin was about a underwater city and that i spend weeks swimming and waterwalking? Just to find out Dwemers where really extinct, except the one in the basemant of that dude who collects the corpus disease creatures (forgot his name). I really want to know more about the lore of the Dwemer. Hopefully they don't add much of them to the game to keep it a mystery, but they could add some more books/facts/hidden secrets of them. Or maybe the one who had corpus disease is still normal in TES online and offers you a quest to find his brother in..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ok7fOwdk2gc

The Maormer have been to Tamriel before. Likely several times. We know they have had ships put to port in Skyrim to support Potema the Wolf Queen of Solitude. They have even worked with the Altmer apparently in the early Dominion of Tiber Septim's era. According to what sources we have anyways. If they can get to Skyrim, they can get anywhere in Tamriel. As far as the Altmer and the Maormer though? Historically they absolutely hate one another. Which makes my previous comment seem like the source for it is questionable. As in an idiot (in the game world), wrote the books that had this information and was wrong.

Dwemer are gone. There are no Dwemer vampires and they are mentioned no where. There will not be ANY actualy Dwemer in this game, and if there are, they will be NPCs.

Falmer are devolved at this point in the lore as well, with not much more than a handful of exceptions. We will only see the devolved variant if we see them at all. Maybe a couple normal ones as NPCs.

On top of that, whatever other Mer might have existed got wiped out by the recent Knahaten Flu.
